AI or Artificial Intelligence, refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are designed to think and learn like humans. This can include a wide range of techniques and technologies, such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and robotics.
The goal of AI is to create systems/software/machines that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognising objects, making decisions, and solving problems. AI has the potential to revolutionise many industries, including healthcare, finance, transportation, and entertainment, by automating processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing the human experience.
Gen AI or Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that uses complex algorithms to generate new, original content, such as images, videos, music, text, or even entire conversations. This content is created based on patterns, relationships, and structures learned from large datasets and training models.
Generative AI models, like GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks), transformers, and variational auto-encoders, have the ability to produce highly realistic and diverse outputs.
The possibilities are endless, and the field of generative AI is rapidly evolving. However, it also raises important questions about authorship, accountability, and the potential for misuse.
